In 2010 they saved over 65,000 dogs in Bali from a cruel death through poisoning known as culling in order to get stray dog populations under control.
The WSPA intervened peacefully with inhumane Balinese government policies and came to an agreement to provide services for the spay and neuter program of thousands of dogs.
Often when tragedy strikes different areas of the globe, animals are the first to be abandoned due to dire human needs.
The WSPA focuses on the relief of both wild and domesticated animals in emergency situations.
In the 2010 Haiti earthquake, they provided much needed relief for all of the animals left behind that needed help.
